Torrents.ru closed down because of citizen Ivanova

Closing torrents.ru overgrown with new details: the mirror the portal to rutracker.org going to attract new users through the liberalization of the rules of downloading, in RuNet growing support for a proscribed resource, and copyright holders seek to disown involvement in the actions of prosecutors. As it turned out, torrents.ru was closed for the investigation of criminal cases against some Ivanova, who download and sell the program Autodesk.

Administration filesharing portal torrents.ru, which recently blocked by a decision of the prosecutor’s office, said that will extend until April 1, free download of materials, regardless of rating. In the slang of users of torrents such action is called “frilich. Originally “freebie” was declared only in the last few days of February, but now the owners of the site decided to remove restrictions on the longer term.

Thus torrent portal responded to the decision of prosecutors to stop delegating a domain name torrents.ru, which is visited daily by about 1 million people. However, the resource block was a useless thing - almost immediately its mirror appeared at rutracker.org.
